Boba Dreams in LA: Twinkle Brown Sugar – Little Tokyo

Now, this is a place a lot of people have probably heard of if visiting Little Tokyo and looking for boba. Twinkle Brown Sugar is a pretty popular spot, probably made more so because the boba competition around there isn’t very fierce.

Okay, I know that was kinda mean, but I’ve been to all the other boba places in the neighborhood and I can honestly say Twinkle Brown Sugar is one of the better ones in the area. And that’s not to say that it’s just the best out of the bad; no, they make some pretty good drinks. Like this Cosmic Dream I got with boba and rainbow jelly.

‘Twas very good, indeed. And look at that color!

If you’re curious what the Cosmic Dream is made of, it’s Butterfly Pea Tea w/ Mango Lemonade. The other drink my sister got (the one in the back) was the Peach Lychee Green Tea w/ boba and grass jelly, which she enjoyed very much as well.

Boba was nice and chewy, jelly was nice and chewy, it was all around very nice and chewy. I really liked my drink.

Shop interior had some interesting design choices as well, like the flooring most people probably wouldn’t notice unless you were an oddball like me:

I like this flooring. Reminds me of games that use cartoon shaders…

Anyway, moving up from the floor, the shop interior is actually very nice as well. Very tasteful.

Cozy, in an artistic way.

And, of course, the place where the boba magic happens:

Look at those nice ads. If I wasn’t buying one already, I’d buy one like they were selling me something.

Overall, very good. If you’re in town, I’d recommend you drop by for a visit, especially on a hot day. It feels like it’s just what the doctor ordered.

And, yup! That’s it! Thanks for stopping by. Talk to you soon~
